“When all else fails, read the instructions.”

I invite all of us to join together in learning more of God’s will for our lives.  By reading the Bible daily, and studying it in small groups, we will know better how to live as Christians in our tumultuous world.

This Sunday and Monday, February 5 and 6, we will begin the Covenant Bible Study, a well-planned course that in 24 weeks (divided into three 8-week segments) covers every book of the Bible.  I invite you to join me at 11 a.m. on Sunday or 6:30 p.m. on Monday to begin this course.  Further, I ask everyone, even if you can’t come to the classes, to read Bible passages every day.

One of the biggest regrets I’ve heard from church goers through the years is that they don’t know more about the Bible.  When we are not familiar with the story of God, it is harder to imagine God in our lives. Knowing how God has led others gives us confidence to live Christ-like lives in our day.  I have seen time and time again that people are more willing to help others and to be active in church life when they know the Biblical message.

I realize how hard it is to commit to a weekly study.  The Covenant Bible Study can be life-changing, even if you cannot attend every week.  Come whenever you can.

For all of us, I will share each week the Bible readings for the following week.  Even if you can’t come to the classes, reading these Bible passages will enrich your life.

Will you join me in reading these scriptures, as best you can, on these days?
